A Strange Eye - Pop Culture At Its Finest and Funkiest

Well…they’re probably forgotten for a reason.  Check out this selection of some real odd-ball videos from back in the day.  It’s hard to believe some of these were hits, but those were the times. 

Hell - I remember the first time I saw Vanilla Ice on Yo! MTV Raps.  I remember everybody on MTV and at my high school were falling over themselves to turn this guy into a star.  Now, his career is treated as a joke.  However, dancing with Ninja Turtles certainly didn’t help his case…  But when he was the star, he got to make terrible videos and a movie (Cool as Ice).

Feel free to mention some forgotten old school tracks you remembered back in the day, too.

This is the one.  A light beer that actually tastes like beer.  Along with Guiness Draft at 125 calories (if you like stout), Shiner Light is one of the best tasting light beers.  Check out what those zany Texans are up to on your next beer run.

I know you’ve heard that the very talented and very odd, Michael Jackson, has passed away.  What better way to remember him than by playing his old Smooth Criminal video game.

Ahh…it’s summer.  And with summer come road trips.  So, next time you are in Southern California, you might want to check out Cali’s largest lake.  Some say it’s beautiful, others call it an environmental disaster.  According to the clips below, you might lean towards the latter.  I tried to talk my girlfriend into visiting it, but she said it looked awful when she flew over it - why go??  If any of you readers decide to check it out, post a comment and tell me all about it.  It looks like a real hoot!
